Body text

Note: To ensure that manuscript referees or peer reviewers do not know your identity (as author[s] of the manuscript being reviewed), you will need to make sure that you remove your name(s) and affiliation(s) within the manuscript.

  1. Title of the Paper – font 16 pt, bold capital letters, centered with no full stop at the end. Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) after the title row.
  2. Headings – Please do not use numbering for headings, and use no more than three levels of displayed headings:
    • HEADING 1 – font 14 pt, bold capital letters, centered with no full stop at the end. Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) before and after the row.
    • HEADING 2 – font 12 pt, bold capital letters, left aligned with no full stop at the end. Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) before and after the row.
    • Heading 3 – font 12 pt, bold non-capital letters, left aligned with no full stop at the end. Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) before the row.
  3. Abstract – font 10 pt, italic non-capital letters, full justification. The text of the abstract should range from 150 to 250 words. Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) before and after the abstract text.
  4. Keywords – font 8 pt, non-capital letters, left aligned with no full stop at the end. Please select 3 to 5 keywords (or phrases) that describe the content of the paper, from general to particular, and facilitate online paper searches. Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) before and after the abstract text.
  5. Main Body Text – font 12 pt, non-capital letters, one column, full justification without automatic hyphenation.
  6. Figures (pictures, charts, diagrams, drawings etc.) should be centered and appear in the body of the manuscript where they are first referenced. The size of a figure should not exceed the text width into the margins. Figures should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. All fonts used within the figures should be 8 pt to 12 pt. Please submit each figure as an individual file: .jpg, .bmp., .tiff, .png, .cdr., separate from the manuscript text.
  7. Figure captions – font 8 pt, non-capital italic letters, centered below the body of the figure with no full stop at the end. They should be numbered consecutively with the abbreviation “Fig.“, e.g. "Fig. 2. The dependence …". When referring to a figure in the body text, the word "Figure" is also abbreviated as "Fig." Please leave an empty line (or equivalent spacing) after the figure caption.
  8. Tables should be created by using the Microsoft Word built-in table tool, not by using tabs and spaces. They should be centered and appear in the body of the manuscript where they are first referenced. Font size – 12 pt; cell margins – 0.1 cm in all directions; first column justified to the left, but other columns preferably centered; line thickness of upper and lower boundary – 1 pt; line thickness of other lines, if necessary to make table readable – ½ pt. The size of a table should not exceed the text width into the margins. Do not use the enter key within the body of the table. Instead, separate data horizontally with a new row. Do not insert blank columns or rows.
  9. Table captions – font 8 pt, non-capital italic letters, centered above the body of the table with no full stop at the end. They should be numbered consecutively without abbreviating “Table”, e.g. “Table 1. Characteristics of …”. When referring to Table in the body text, put the number of the Table x, where x refers to the relevant number of the Table.
  10. Equations should be created by using the Microsoft Word built-in equation editor. The equation should be centered, and the equation number in parenthesis should be justified to the right. Equations should be numbered consecutively throughout the entire paper as simply (1), (2), (3). Please refer to the equations with “Eq. (x)” in the body text.
  11. References are a complete listing of all cited resources used to create your manuscript. This list should appear at the end of the entire manuscript. When referring to a reference in the body text, put the number of the reference in square brackets [xx], where xx refers to the relevant number in the reference list. The references should be arranged and numbered alphabetically by author’s surname or will be listed in the order in which they appear in text. Please use IEEE style for your references when referring to a source of information within the text of a document. Include a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for all works that have a DOI, regardless of whether you used the online version or the print version.
