Experimental verification of a new mathematical model of ventilation of semi-closed circuit breathing apparatus
Abstract
In the paper course and results of experimental verification of mathematical models of ventilation of breathing space of semi-closed circuit rebreather (SCR), proposed in [1], are presented and discussed. To simulate the respiratory process a unique laboratory stand was used. Evaluation of correctness of the assumed ventilation models was performed with the use of APW-6M underwater diving apparatus. Results of the experimental investigations were compared with those calculated by means of the theoretical models. A higher modelling accuracy was observed in the case of application of two-bag SCR mathematical model than in the case when the earlier, simplified model was used.
