PRE-INVESTMENT STUDIES IN SHIPPING
Abstract
In this paper different aspects of pre-investment studies in shipping in view of uncertainty of the shipping market and developing complexity of transportation systems are presented. Several methods and techniques of investment appraisal adapted to shipping are critically highlighted and various computer simulation models of transportation systems, especially of modern container-based ones, are discussed.
