OPTIMIZATION OF CHANGEOVER MODELLING IN PRODUCTION PROCESS
Abstract
Activities performed to prepare machines to work are an essential part of any manufacturing process. Unfortunately these actions does not cause a direct increase value added to the final product. Customers are willing to pay for a product with the desired characteristics, provided in the expected time, without thinking about processes which have to be done additionally by producer. Therefore, in manufacturing companies the performance of these activities is often pushed to the background. Improving of the quality of production processes is aimed at perfecting the manufacturing operations, rather than ensuring the correct execution of the so-called changeover. This paper is about aspects of measuring and modeling the quality of its performing in the company Y.
