Open Access and Research Data policy
For all articles published in REME, copyright is retained by the authors. From 2021 articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license, meaning that anyone may download and read the paper for free.
Research Data and Data Availability Statement
REME supports transparency, reproducibility, and the reuse of research results. Authors are encouraged to make the research data underlying their publications available whenever possible, in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
Research data should preferably be deposited in a trusted disciplinary, institutional, or general-purpose repository that provides persistent identifiers (e.g. DOI), appropriate metadata, and long-term access to deposited datasets.
Authors affiliated with Gdańsk University of Technology may use the Bridge of Data (MOST Wiedzy) Research Data Repository, a CoreTrustSeal-certified repository.
Data Availability Statement
All research articles should include a Data Availability Statement (DAS) describing whether and how the data supporting the findings of the study can be accessed.
The statement should provide a direct link and persistent identifier (preferably a DOI) whenever the data have been deposited in a repository.
Authors may use and adapt one of the following statements:
Data available in a repository
The research data supporting the findings of this study are available in [repository name] at [DOI/URL].
Data available upon reasonable request
The research data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
This option should be used only when public deposition of the data is not appropriate or feasible. Authors may be asked to explain why the data cannot be deposited in a repository.
Publicly available / external data
This study is based on publicly available data obtained from [source/database]. The data are available at [DOI/URL].
Where appropriate, authors should cite the original datasets or databases used in the study.
Restricted data
The research data supporting the findings of this study are not publicly available due to [ethical/legal/privacy/confidentiality] restrictions. Information on access to the data is available from [contact/institution] subject to the applicable conditions.
Restrictions on data access should be clearly justified.
No new data
No new research data were created or analysed in this study. Data sharing is therefore not applicable.
Secondary/statistical data
This study uses publicly available secondary data obtained from [e.g. Eurostat, Statistics Poland, OECD, World Bank]. The data sources are cited in the article and are available through the respective data providers.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that data sharing complies with applicable legal, ethical, contractual, and confidentiality requirements.
