SHARING ECONOMY IN POLAND – RESIGNATION FROM OWNERSHIP FOR ACCESS-BASED CONSUMPTION

Abstract

Processes in the world economy are primarily related to globalization and technological progress; they also have a profound effect on consumers’ attitudes and decisions. They include not only consumption, exchange and production, but also increasingly common use of goods. Sharing economy is a new trend in consumers’ behaviour, which is based on exchanging, borrowing and sharing our products with others, access to the product is more important than having it owned. The aim of this article is a systematization of the knowledge of sharing economy and information about platforms, applications and systems spreading this type of consumption in Poland.
