THE STUDY OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ACADEMIC EDUCATION IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT ACCORDING TO THE IPMA-STUDENT COMPETENCE MODEL

Abstract

The article presents the background and principles of the IPMA-Student competence model in the field of project management and results of its performance at ten-odd universities and colleges in Poland. The knowledge tests and evaluation surveys have been applied to measure and test the education effectiveness. The research has been conducted on a group of accredited university students who have taken the IPMA-Student certification examination or those who have expressed their interest in the development of their competence in project management field. This particular research study, as well as the entire IPMA-Student program, have been implemented using the Moodle e-learning system. The research conducted has proven that the implementation of the IPMA-Student Program at the university does contribute to the improvement of education quality in project management field. Therefore, students are provided the opportunity to recap their academic education receiving IPMA-Student certificate which is commercially recognizable on the global labor market.
